Since 1978, Genelec has made some of the greatest monitor speakers to ever be used by legendary recording studio engineers in fabulous recording studio facilities around the world. Their monitors are legendary for their true to the source sound reproduction, their ability to reproduce the entire spectrum of musical frequencies and their smoothness— which allows their users to listen to them for prolonged periods of time without fatigue. The reputation of Genelec is impeccable because their products sound fantastic and are well-designed, engineered to astounding standards and last their customers for a lifetime of excellent service.

Which products from Genelec that were used by the great engineers and recording studio facilities of the past would be a great fit for the educational space?

I was fortunate during my stint working as an assistant recording studio engineer in the professional music recording industry that I had the opportunity to work with engineers who used Genelec monitors while mixing some of our greatest projects. I have had the opportunity to spend hours listening to music critically through their monitors and know that what you are hearing through them will translate well to any other monitoring system. They may well be the sweetest sounding monitors I have ever had the opportunity to sit in front of in a recording studio control room. Today, Genelec makes a wide array of amazing monitoring speakers, including main monitoring systems, midfield monitors and of course, some of the very best nearfield monitors in the world of music recording today. The monitors from the current Genelec line-up that I will introduce to you are all amazing nearfield monitors— the Ones Series and the legendary 1032C.

Genelec— The Ones

The Ones are a series of three-way, compact nearfield monitor speakers that are among the very best speakers to ever be produced for the world of professional music recording. Each of the monitor speakers in this line-up are powered speakers that will not require outside amplification systems. The monitor speakers in this line-up sound natural, true to the source— and in fact, they can actually make your music sound beautiful— as they reproduce music with an incredible smoothness that has become the signature of the great monitor speakers from Genelec. The following models compose the line-up of The Ones from Genelec— the 8331A, 8341A, 8351B and the 8361A, plus the W371A Woofer System. Each of these amazing monitors would be an excellent fit for the educational space.

Genelec— 1032C

The Genelec 1032C is one of the greatest monitor speakers ever produced in the history of professional music recording. It is incredibly smooth in its ability to reproduce the full range of the sound frequency spectrum. This monitor speaker sounds smooth, natural and true to the source— like The Ones, the 1032C is a monitor speaker that can make your music sound beautiful (or, magnificent). Genelec also creates subwoofer systems that can work with the monitor speakers in The Ones series and also with the 1032C. This amazing monitor speaker would be an excellent fit for the educational space.
